He is a consultant to various countries, and has received the highest awards of Indian Dental Association and Indian Maxillofacial Surgery Association.
Dr. B.C. Roy Laureate, Dr. S. M. Balaji is the first PhD in Maxillofacial Surgery, the Editor in Chief of the 'Indian Journal of Maxillofacial and Oral Surgery', reviewer of the International Journal of OMFS for craniofacial surgery and author of the best-selling "Textbook on Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery" published by Elsevier. |

An acclaimed speaker at National and International conferences, he has bagged the AOMSI's "Dr. Ginwallah Trophy" twice and received several "Best Paper Awards" at World Congresses conducted at Zurich, Halifax, and Goteborg. He won the "Gold Medal" for best paper at the 4th Asian Conference on OMFS, Mumbai and "Modus Award of Merit - a cash award of "50,000 Yen" for the 'Best Innovative Surgical Technique' at the 6th Asian Conference, Tokyo. |
